Fooling around with Aviary used to offer online photo editing tool, called Picnik but it has been replaced with Aviary now. I personally love Picnik quite a bit because because it has a lot of effects templates and i was able to do much advance editing unlike Aviary, only offers basic editing like crops, red eye and etc.

I usually likes to play around with effects templates because they're simply so fun to play with!

edited these photos with Aviary, they have cute stickers but very very very limited choices :(

Gastritis Monday

My stomach wasn't feeling well when i was in langkawi last weekend, but not to the extend of vomiting yet, so i thought it'll be just my usual stomach wind problem. It will recover by itself as long as i take care of my diet and sleep early.

But this time was worse, i vomited on Monday morning and felt horribly dizzy. In addition to my period pain, i couldn't even get out of bed. I rest until 10am and dragged myself out to the clinic.

The medicine is good, i instantly felt better and it doesn't taste as bad as i thought it would.

Family trip to Langkawi (part 2)

I woke up rather early on the next day, while most of them were still sleeping, i made myself a cup of coffee and sat outside the balcony. It felt like paradise, quiet with the sounds of the insects and birds.

we skipped breakfast because everyone slept passed 10pm. Headed to Kuah town for lunch and cruised around the town. We went to Seven Wells waterfall because the skybridge and skycab were close for maintenance. What a waste.

Had coconut water before going up to the waterfall, the weather was killing me. I'm sure it was 70◦C, because the heat almost cook me up ..

they never like to look into the camera, i don't understand why, hehe!

we need to hike up a little bit to the waterfall

It was really sloppy, we can barely stand straight

off we go to the waterfall only, Seven Wells is another 15-20mins hike up and we gave up on that.

my dad has the better stamina than all of us, did i tell you that he and his friends conquered the great Gunung Tahan? Took them 8 days 7 nights of hiking and camping in the jungle with haversack weighted heavier than me, great achievement!

other than that, when we were hiking up Gunung Kinabalu, dad carried my bag pack in front and his at his back with one hand carrying 5 lits of water, imagine that! he is 60 this year, just in case you're curious :)

my ever so cheeky aunt

after hiked up the tar road, we need to take the stairs up too. So exhausted!

the water is soooo coooling! everyone was sweating like a pig already.

dad took off his clothes and jumped into the water

my little cousin sister

dad made new friend from Singapore

done with the waterfall and heading back and get ready for beach and swimming pool, yay!

room service surprised us with this cute little doggie towel origami

having tea outside at the balcony

dad loves his front desk to the flat screen tv

next up--> to the pool!

the beach is rather quiet that day, i was expecting to see crowds and kids running around and lots of water sports.

DO NOT STARE AT MY STOMACH, i know my tummy is ermmm, "layering" hahaha!! I've gained so much weight and i can't be bothered anymore, given up on lose weight

when the sky got darker, we headed back to the hotel and get ready for dinner. Went to this place called 夜猫子 seafood restaurant in Kuah town and had a bad experience. We waited for 30 mins and noticed that the other 3 tables who ordered before us were complaining as well. as we waited longer we began to be impatience and the lady on the other table told us furiously that they had waited for almost 90 mins.

pissed. we decided to cancel our orders and went to next door.

Next morning, we checked out at around 9am so we'll have more time shopping for chocolate.

Most of them are for friends, sister and colleagues, i only wanted After Eight

This is ze-family signature picture, anywhere we go, there will sure be pictures of us arranging our luggage either in the airport or jetty

The best thing about dad is that he NEVER complain on anything! we spent so much time on the floor arranging our things and he quietly stood one side waited and enjoy his beer.

last picture of the day before we headed back to mainland. Dad dropped me at Autocity and shawn picked me up from there, I'm so lucky :)

This trip was short and to be honest, quite tiring, but I'm happy to get to spent time with my family. I don't get to see them often, not even my dad, hence whenever they is family trip, despite anywhere i will try to make it, because this is the only time i get to spend quality time with them. and I'm sure there will be more in the future, my family are like me, they can't sit still, we love travelling and exploring new places.

Family trip to Langkawi (part 1)

Yes, i went for holidays again :)

This time was just a short trip of 3 days 2 nights to Langkawi with my dad, aunt, uncles and cousins, sadly, sheena couldn't make it, she needs to work that weekend.

It was a great time being together, though it's tiring because we spent most of our time in the car, hehehe! Dad decided to drove all the way from KL to Kuala Kedah and picked me up from Autocity on the way.

We headed to Ong Cheng Huat for lunch, none of us been there before and dad had to rely on my poor directions but nevertheless we managed to reached there with a few U-turns made. Applause to myself.

After lunch, we headed straight to Kuala Kedah and just in time for the 430pm ferry ride.

Parking for 2 nights at kuala kedah is about RM30, and ferry to langkawi is RM23 per person per trip.I think this will be my last ferry ride to langkawi, it was horrible. Jammed packed with people, kids crying and shouting all the way, and the jetty smells like dead fish. I know it's common to have kids crying and shouting, and i know it's unavoidable, but i just don't like loud annoying noise, therefore, i avoid going to places like this anymore, like public transports.

Anyway, yea, i survived through the ride despite surferring from mild migraine.

Dad booked 2 chalets from Berjaya Langkawi Resort and it is 3000 miles away from the jetty!! and worse come to worse, we took the longest way (option #1) and took us an hour to reach! we could have taken the shortest way (option #2) which is across the island for 30 mins only.

We reached hotel about 8pm and there goes our 1st day, we pretty much did nothing buy in the car reading maps.

what made us really happy after a long tiring car ride was this beautiful Berjaya hotel lobby.

having fun in the buggy

chalets are located rather far from the lobby, hence they have 24 hours buggy service to fetch you in and out of your chalets, so convenient heh? All we need to do is to wait at the lobby and the buggy comes in almost every minute. and call the buggy service counter every time you wanted to leave your chalet, they will send one almost immediately. super efficient.

out semi-d rainforest's chalet, dad made sure we're side by side to each other.

the best thing about the rooms are the door to link to the other room, making these 2 rooms into one big room, i love it.

the bathroom

the balcony

after freshen up, we went straight to Cenang beach for dinner. Most of the Chinese restaurants are seafood restaurant, but we didn't have lobster, we had normal seafood like prawns and crabs.

giant lobsters.I did see a lot of foreigners order table fulled of food, and most of them had lobster, i supposed it's comparatively cheaper there.

this was funny, they gave us plastic crab crsuher which dad almost broke it while he tried to crush a crab claw...

during dinner, uncle met his old friend which he hadn't seen him for almost 20 years. My uncle worked in langkawi for another a year 20 years back then and never returned until now, and to bump into a old friend 20 years later, it was simply amazing. They chatted for awhile, while we took a walk down the Cenang beach street, most of the shops were closed coz it was rather late already.
