This month, CardnSwap is having a little contest to guess the number of buttons in a jar. I've entered the contest, and hoping the best. This marks my 1st contest joined online, i never have luck in anything, therefore i never bother to join anything last time.

But, something hit me and asked me to join, i thought, why not, maybe i'm lucky this time :)

Here's my guess,

1st guess - 268
2nd guess - 238
3rd guess - 245

Back to the reality

"Back to the reality" was the 1st line Peter said when we reached Penang International Airport.

Indeed, that 5 days in Phuket was like in paradise, though it was really really hot and i've got sun burn on my face., but ....i'll get into details later...

In phuket, I've been to the town,

walked by the beach,

climbed up the hill,

and of course posed with the elephant,

thats all for now, i will be posting more pictures later :)

Updates on Stephanie's

Just a quick update on Stephanie's before leaving for Phuket :)

I have the sudden urge to design necklaces, all of these are done in a day, except for the red butterfly pendant necklace that i've done earlier.

I guess my inspiration for these necklaces is from my very 1st polymer clay pendant.

I'm 25 years old!

As i was telling daddy the other day, I can't believe I'm already 25 years old and i don't feel I've grown much older.

Pictures taken in Manila Place , Gurney with my colleagues :)

Thank you very much! Oh, not forgetting Duncan who had called me all the way from Ghana, that short chat with you made me feels better :)

My 1st polymer clay necklace

pI'm so proud of my 1st polymer clay butterfly pendant, that I've been talking about to Peter all the time. It turns out to be such a beauty, finished with vintage gold chain and pearls.

I'm still thinking if i should put up for sale on Stephanie's.
what do you think, guys?

oh my baby Jasimini

I have to admit that she is the cutest Cocker Spaniel I've ever seen.

"Mommy, I miss you ! "

" Good night folks! "

Happy 57th Birthday DADDY!

An email from Daddy,

My dear lovely daughter,

Thanks for the lovely hand made gift which i received today.
A heart is all is needed.Nothing else is required.
Taking good care of yourself and live happily is also a valuable gift for me.

I cannot imagine if he said this face to face to me, i think i'll cry. YOu know, my dad and i ain't those mushi mashi type of person, still the typical chinese who don't express thier love verbally.

Here's you go, a picture of my dad during his visit in Penang sometime last year, notice his white sideburn, cool right?Reminds me of those Harley-Davidson-biker :)

Cupcake charms from polymer clay

I've bought a lot of polymer clay from US months ago, and I've been bragging that i would make cute lil polymer clay charms, so here it is. Not too well done but I'm happy with it, after all, it's my 1st time ya, so..

I didn't bother to take picture of my 1st cupcake, because it was a total disaster, like a piece of red shit on a white base cup, hahaha! Am gonna hang it in Peter's car anyway, he'll probably grumble all the way .

Here's my 2nd cupcake,

Not too perfectly done, if you can notice those red scrap on the white base. That's because i made the red cream top 1st before i make the white base, my hands had left over red glitters.
This one looks like a mushroom to me rather than a cupcake, isn't it?

Then i decorated my 3rd cupcake with strawberries, it's so hard to make it, especially the leaf, maybe because i have butter hands and i can't cope with tiny piny things.

My last cupcake of the day, I used translucent clay instead, it give transparent effect, but from the looks of it, not so transparent after all huh?

I glazed it all with gloss to mainly give the shinning effects, and to protect the clay from cracking and such.

I havent thought of how to use them yet, but i guess they're not a good choice for key chains, because they're rather fragile, cell phone charm maybe.

Fresh from the oven, before glossed.

Then i made a red butterfly pendant,

I'm already half way making the necklace using this butterfly pendant :)

Oh, I love this one a lot, I've used a clear pebble and a picture cut out from magazine, patched them black polymer clay.

So i guess thats all for now, they took my whole afternoon. Stay tuned for accesories using these polymer clay pendants and charms :)

My Valentine's Day

Let me tell you how did i spend my Valentine's day...

8.00am : Got out of the bed, dragged myself to the bathroom
8.30am : Headed to Caroline's for breakfast, Palm Palladium is so so so secluded. Curry chicken is super duper yummy!

11.00am: Went to BJ to buy "Gem of life" and i can't wait to watch it.
11.30am: Came back home to continue my part-time work at Stephanie's. I have a lot of customization to finish up before i leave for Phuket.

2.30pm : Watched "High School Musical 3" while making jump rings bracelets.
5.00pm : Watched "Gem of Life" while making paper bags for my jeweleries. I taught Peter to how to make, so he could help me *evil grins*

7.30pm: Napped
8.00pm: Went for dinner at Jelutong where we ate tong sui. Thats out Valentine's dinner, i don't mind because I'm happy!

9.30pm: Came back home, continue my part-time at Stephanie's
11.00pm: Updated Stephanie's and Herbaltree

11.20pm: Watched "Gem of Life"
12.30pm: ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

* Obviously, Peter didn't plan anything for me because he knows i'm pretty busy with my part-time...*

Which means i should get upset over it, which means i should protest to him but instead, i never because i knew deep inside me that i don't need fancy flowers, or expensive dinner, as long as he's with me, I'm celebrating Valentine's

...and i know you must be thinking i'm so old school and such but hey, for the 1st time, I'm actually, really feeling that way!

You are so DEAD! Cockroach!

I've been warned that i might have company or rather companies before I moved to my current rented house. YES, you're so right, the companies are COCKROACHes.

I thought it won't be that bad, you know. I'm used to 1 or 2 cockroaches back at home. Simply whack them real hard with news paper, then roll it up and dump it to the front dustbin.

I had already killed THREE cockroaches for the pass 2 weeks, and I thought it wasn't a big deal, until................... fine night (which is tonight), I was washing up the dishes, a cockroach came right up from the basin hole!! With my ever-so-fast reflect, i jumped off, grab whatever chemical spray nearby ( it was a glass detergent), sprayed direction on to it....

....when i thought it was about to die, the 2nd cockroach came right up!!! Before I know what to do, THE 3RD ONE APPEARED...then to my horror the 4TH ONE joined the group!!!!!!!

....i knew sprays won't work this time, i POURED that bottle of detergent onto them!! I was relief when i saw them not moving anymore, i was already very exhausted.

..As i was cursing heaven and earth, scolding the cockroaches like as if I'm crazy, telling them how i would kill them and bla bla bla.....while doing my dishes again..

....THE 5TH COCKROACH appeared and was only inches away from my hand!!!!!!!!!! This time, my lungs, heart and liver fell off..!

I haven't seen so many cockroaches in a day, there goes my appetite! I literally felt like vomitting, and still feeling it now!

I am going to buy everything in the supermarket that kills domestic cockroaches tomorrow.

Dear cockroaches in steph's house :

If i don't kill you and your family and your ancestors, i will never call myself Stephanie Fong, for you have taken away my pair of lungs, a heart and a liver!

I've captured a lil preview of what's coming up on Stephanie's, added freehanded drawn border to it and I am loving every bits of it!

p/s : Off to an important mission..

Bern Bern

I can't help but to post up Bern Bern's pictures, he's just too cute. One dog that doesn't like to walk and sits down wherever he wants when he's tired.

I understand why NongZi named him Bern Bern, because his face is dumb enough, haahaa! Oh....he's just too cute, feel like cuddling him right away!

Only if Bern Bern is in the dog renting service, people will be queuing for him :)

Meeting up with Duncan and my fellow friends

It's been awhile since i last saw Duncan, that is because he works in Ghana and now Khek is joining him, i guess because the beer is cheaper ther *grins* . We had our lil meeting at The Curve for dinner.

Chris & Isobel, Dave, Hanni, Khek, Harry, Steph, Duncan, Jiayi and Gan.

Thank you guys for the sweetest birthday cupcake ever! Duncan seems to remember everyone's birthday, lovely huh?

We were like cam whoring all the time, thanks to dave's super long arms. I never had camwhore pictures that show my entire torso, only with dave.

After dinner, we were like planning for 2nd round and I don't know how we ended in Red Box, but that was fun.....*I didn't have enough cash but Dave paid for me, THANKS! you're my sweetheart!!*

I've heard of Isobel from gan and alan, but only got to meet her in person that very day :)

Honey Hanni ~~!

How to stay young

Daddy sent me an interesting article, I thought you should read it too :)

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'
I'm pretty conscious about my weight though, but never bother to do anything. Don't mention about my height and age, if you don't ask me, i would probably forget. So, I'm young!

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
My friends are all cheerful, even my pet doggie and tortoises are. So, I'm young!

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
I definitely have to agree on this, I love craftings! So, I'm young!

4. Enjoy the simple things.
Even a small cute sticker makes my day. So, I'm young!

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
I have been doing this everyday at work and at home. So, I'm young!

6. The tears happen.. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
I don't really agree that the only person who is with us is ourselves, God is with us all the time. So, I'm still young!

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
You never know how crazy I am over pets, only if i own a pet shop, I probably never sell any animals in it. I love my family more than you can imagine. So, I'm young!

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
Errr, does having supplements counts? I'm trying my best to improve my fatty liver. So, I'm young!

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
I don't understand this, what is guilt trips?

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.
I LOVE YOU!! To whoever whom is reading this, I know you must be someone close to me. I'M YOUNG!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

A necklace for Jasmine

I believe every doggie deserves to be pretty isn't it?

I've chosen a froggie charm for her, because i think she's as cute as the froggie.

She looks awesomely pretty isn't it?
