Steph's still alive

Life's been really busy, but i guess God thinks i need a good rest, HOW? Shut downs!!!!! I guess i'm not the 1st person who have had forced to take leaves, i bet most people in the semi-conductor industry are in the same situation as me.

Force leaves are definitely better than retrench, isn't it? so, i'm keeping a positive mind. Okay..!! After all, working's just my hobby, my work is to be a domestic engineer (aka housewife). I'm definitely joking, please don't be serious!

Work aside, I'm getting my oven tomorrow!! Yaaahhh!! I will make so many lil polymer clay's, i've been dreaming of them every night.

As for my tiny shop, I've been doing so many customizations, to be honest, I don't quite like it. I prefer to have a open mind and start designing something nice, rather than being restricted by so many requirements. But thank God that most of my customers prefer to leave the designing part to me, and i usually have a lot of freedom, kekeke!!

..and you know what, even my Dad was amazed of what i'm doing now, and he sent my tinyshop's link to his ex-colleagues ( he has retired ), THANK YOU DADDY!

btw, i'm thinking to start a shop in soon, after i'm "so called" expert in polymer clay-ing.

Early Christmas Present

It is very funny how Peter accidentally slipped out that he had bought a present for me, and how i've forced him to tell me what it is..

You should be surprise, this process usually takes up to weeks. The continuous begging from me, and the none stop bugging, sometimes, i think he slipped out on purpose, just to see what's my reaction and i bet he enjoyed my begging a lot!

I was drooling over this when i saw it from Toy 'R' us, i think it was pricey to buy for own self, but if it's as gift, it'll never be too expensive, right?

Thank you! I feel like a lil girl once again....
Just in case u're confused, they're Mike & Sulley from Monster Inc. in Cars. How cute, awww...toooo cute.

I am crazy over Monster Inc. and please don't ask me why, i don't know either. I just love them, watched it over and over again and still don't feel bored.

...and if u were to ask me again 10 years later whats my favourite movie, it will still be Monster Inc.

ps : they're made of metal and they're roll-able , good quality ya? so is the price :)

Walls mini popper

I'm not a big fan of ice-cream, but I've bought 2 boxes of mini popper which i have no intention to eat at all. I am bring it all to office tomorrow for my colleagues. Weird isn't it?

All i want is this little pink thing which I'd named it DRAGON. You won't get this if you only purchase 2 boxes of Walls mini popper, you've gotta play a lil game to earn it!

There was a cube filled with flying ping pong balls with colours of white and orange. All i have to do is to collect as many orange balls as possible in 15 second, to get this pink thing, i need at least 7 balls.

Knowing i would go panic and won't be able to reach 7 balls in 15 seconds, Peter did it for me. Brilliant him, he had his way to collect exactly 7 balls. So i brought that pink thing home!

Being over excited and happy, though it was nothing big nor expensive, but I JUST LOVE IT~!

New chains, lots of beads!

I'll be off to KL for a play performance with my colleagues and friends in KLPAC. I will not be going home as it lil inconvenient, besides this is supposed to be a short trip.

Terry and Pauline wanted to go IKEA to shop for their new home, and i am so thrill with that! i havent been to IKEA like for ages loh!!

Btw, Sheena Fong, sorry for the short notice ya, it was something last minute. Will be coming back to Penang on Sunday morning. I wish i could stay longer, to go HOME! Oh, i miss Jasmine so much!

Meanwhile, I'm so happy with my shopping with Marinacraft, she is such a darling. I am always so satisfied with everything I've bought from her and plus i get free gifts if i purchase above RM50. These are beads i've bought from her.

Apart from that, I've received my chains imported from HongKong, some are aluminum, vintage copper and sterling silver. This is my 1st time buying aluminum chain, they're so feather light and comfortable.

Various colour glass bicone i bought from :)

Altogether, makes me a happy girl! More to come....

I'm shifting

Yes, I'm shifting to another place, no more condominium, I didn't like parking my car by the road side, after a few unpleasant incident that had happened. Not to me of course , but to someone i happens to know, so........yea, IT'S NOT SAFE!

Sometimes if it's raining, i will be wet even though i have the biggest umbrella and it's so inconvenient if i have something big to carry back home, for example groceries. Other than that, i like the place i'm staying, windy and big swimming pool, too bad that my room is too small for me. I have so many things, everyone knows that...i couldn't fit everything and i need more space for to do my polymer clay and jewelry making. I'm currently relaying on the floor, which make the room looks like a store room.

Moving to a link house soon. I have a month time to slowly shift my things, I took over Jessie's room as she has gone back to KL for good, we shared the rental for November :) really nice girl!

It will be a real headache for me every time i am shifting to a new place, because of my things due to my uncontrollable in shopping, not just small items like shoes and bags, but also furnitures! HELP me!

Its good that every time i'm shifting i have my shifting buddies, SIM and JEEWEI. Can't live without good friends like them isn't it? so yea, shifting shifting shifting!

Out of no where, I've receive this forward email from a colleague, VERY COOL thing, i should have gotten it if they're selling in Malaysia. If you were to ask who would be the most suitable to have this, it would be ME!

This is something really creative and so usable. By Marcel Krings & Sebastian Muhlhauser, Casulo mobile living furniture.

Look at the pictures below, and you'll understand!

I'm back with polymer clay

pGosh, i finally had the time to sit down and started practicing with my polymer clay, had a really really busy week, i don't even have time to gasp some air!

As I've mentioned last time that i haven't get myself an oven for polymer clay, but it happens that Jon's oven was in my house, why? LONG that for next time. So, since i have an oven now (temporary), I started playing around with my polymer clay, I LOVE IT!

I was a bit kedekut la, i didn't want to waste my colourful clay, so i played around with only black and white. Here's some pictures of it :P

Pre-baked clay

Baking clay, i was too excited that i looked at the clay every second for 20-25 minutes. Peter said I was like soh poh.

First trial was rather successful, except for some thicker clay was under baked, so i had to re-baked them for longer time. Later ,I converted them into necklace and bracelets, and i wore them today to try its durability.

My result? GOOOOOOD! they were flexible but very unbreakable, but of course, you still need to handle with care.

first trial
I know, Grey rose right? I was practicing after all, but still i like this very much, very feminine.

Tortoise is in grey and white as well, a bit odd but still as cute as the lollipop!

Cup cake!

So i guess this will be my 1st time baking polymer clay and next time will be after i've shifted to a bigger room. I'm in the midst of shifting to a new place where i'll have my oven in.

I'm shifting again, imagine the number of things i have, gosh, luckily i have 1 month to slowly move my things to my new place.

So, stay tune, i'll be selling polymer clay charms in Stephanie's soon...:)

Shocking news and dissapointments

I might have been too distracted with my work and life here in Penang, and i might be the last one to know this. YET, this shocking news had made me sleepless, literally.

MMU (Multimedia University), my former university, the place where I've grown to become someone wiser and mature, had became a place I've not known at all.

The former president of MMU, Prof Ghauth, had lef for good and now was replaced with someone "not so smart" (in another word stupid). I'm not sure how true is this, i've only heard from a friend, but Prof Chua, our Engineering Dean had left for UTAR? Thats something really shocking!

He has been an inspiration for all the Engineering students, yet he chose to left? Something cheeky isn't it? Something is really wrong!

I've heard so many good lecturers had left and leaving, arrgghh! there goes MMU! It was a really good University, you know?

You know, I've been thinking, my name for my online blogshop. Some told me to keep my herbal tree, some said herbal design....but I think I wanna make it Stephanie's, simple and nice.

I have roughly completed the online blogshop,

Let see, how to increase my blog hits? I haven't thought of it yet, arrgghh..nvm, i'll just publish it and see what i can do. Help me out, will you?

Give me a reason why i shouldn't be happy?

I am SOOOoooo happy, because How brought back 50 lots of Sculpey and Fimo polymer clay from SunnyVale, very heavy but he did it!

All 50 lots of polymer clay fit in nicely in a large square container, I'm still smiling on my face :) When i'm busy thinking of what i want to make with the clay, then i realized i haven't got my oven, and even if i bought an oven, i don't know where to put it.

Sheena's Convocation

Monash University's convocation 2008 has due last August, but i didn't have time to arrange my pictures. Her convocation wasn't as grand as the one i had, it was like 1/3 scale down or maybe lesser, after all, Sunway Resort has halls that can only fit in hundreds instead of thousands like mine.

Though the convocation wasn't big, but it was luxury i must say. They served buffet snacks which i think it was too tasty! i mean, this is what you get if you have a hotel convocation, carpet hall ways for taking pictures, amazing interior design and expensive tea buffet. Attendees, i would say are above average, with designers' bags and clothing, even if they don't have designers' wear, they sure look elegant!

There, i felt a big difference between MMU convocation 2007 (which was mine la!) and Monash U's. Mine was a disaster, wet and crowded. Wet because it was pouring heavily, we couldn't get out to the floras and the fantastic landscapes. Ok, not that fantastic, but still i love the feeling of having taken pictures with the nature in my rob and mortarboard.

So, back to sheena's convocation. Her convocation was simple and fast (this is how it should works, isn't it?), don't have lengthy speech, crappy announcements. They have lots of souvenirs for sales outside the hallway, there's this lil teddy bear wearing Monash graduate rob, very cute......but so expensive la!

Pictures galore,
Daddy and I bought her flowers, which daddy thinks it looked like those for dead person. HAHA!

Edwin's mum got her the gigantic pig, SOOOOOooooo CUTE!

Flying mortarboards.

Gua Tempurung pictures update

I had my 1st caving experience, my 1st time and will be my only time i guess. I didn't like the shit smell, bats' shit of course. I almost suffocate inside, ok....i was exaggerating , but it was really unbearable.

We had gone through rivers and slits that were so narrow that we had to crawl over in the water. It was so funny to see everyone trying to keep their heads and bags above the water, i had my torch light in my mouth, and my teeth were so sore after that. Dumb me!

I think the only fun part about caving is that you get to play with the muddy slide.

...and squeeze through tiny holes like this. It's like a 2 storeys house, where u have to reach the ground floor from 1st floor through a hole. I find it a lil bit scary, what if the hole breaks? what if my hand slipped?

While i am waiting for my turn to squeeze through the hole ( only 1 person can go through at a time), i saw centipede!!!! that thing just came out from no where and went away to no where. I can't see where it has gone, because that thing just moved too fast.

The most important thing to bring when u go caving is to bring a torch light, because it is really dark and i'm sure u can't see nuts if u don't have flash light. Trust me!

The mist/smoke/dust or whatever is it, we can't see it when we were there, only when in the pictures. Feeling chilly already?

We started the journey by getting ourself soaking wet, then muddy slide and tunnel, finished with a few hundred steps of stairs (that almost kill me, i hate stairs!), we've reached Gua Tempurung most magnificent view.

Million years of lime stones under the bright light, i suddenly feel so romantic, really, no kidding. Though the smell was still around, but i was distracted by the view for the 1st time.

Out last group picture before we leave the cave, so tired and sticky!

My tips to Gua Tempurung,

1. bring flash light
2. wear old clothes, the proof is in the picture, our pants were all stained with mud and it won't go off no matter how many times i've washed it. So, i threw it away eventually, most of my friends' too.
3. Wear open toe stripped slippers, unless u want your feet to swim in your shoes. Some might prefer covered shoes, but i think it feels yucky with water flooded in your shoes. Because you practically soak your legs into the water/river.
4. don't bring things that might fall out easily, especially cell phone, because i saw someone lost their phones into the river and couldn't find it.

After we'd cleaned up ourself, we headed to Ipoh for lunch. You know, as usual la, everyone goes to Ipoh for Chicken rice, which i think it's so expensive!!!

After lunch, everyone walked over to pack salted chicken, as popular as it is. People are queuing for chickens!!

It was only 3 in the afternoon, so we decided to do a lil shopping.

..........up to the Cameron Highland's. Everyone bought a full car of vege except for peter who bought only THREE carrots for his tortoises and i bought a pot of tree :)

So many beautiful flowers, we had herbal eggs and hot steam corns, it was like heaven! Did i mentioned it was raining while we were having our snacks, imagine the temperature, so nice!

Going to Cameron Highlands was a long journey, took us hours to reach Tambun for dinner. When we reached out dinner place, it was already 9 something at night. We reached home at 11pm. We left home at 6.20am in the morning and reached home at 11pm at night, we were out for 17 freaking hours!!!

I still have to clean up a lil bit before i buried myself in my bed.
